A man who built a cabin for a homeless couple has helped reunite them with family

A man’s bid to help keep a homeless couple warm over Christmas has had a truly incredible ending – as they have been reunited with family.

Mark Burgess, from Llanrumney in Cardiff, spent his own money making a £350 wooden shelter designed to be a temporary home for people living on the street.

The shelter is on wheels and can be moved around and comes with a fire alarm, light, insulation, ventilation and a lock.

On Christmas Eve Mark went into Cardiff city centre looking for someone he could give the shelter to.

He helped a couple known as Sion, who is 34 and originally from Swansea, and Sherrie, 28, who were on the street with their dog, Taff.
